Shaan is a writer, researcher and producer, originally from Nashville, Tennessee, currently based in New York City.

He has written about food, travel and culture for The New York Times, Slate, Conde Nast Traveler, Insider and more. He has supported research and production at several audio and TV institutions including Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Jigsaw Productions, WNYC’s On The Media and Search Engine with PJ Vogt.

Shaan has a BA from Tufts University in Media Sociology and Spanish Literature and an MFA from the NYU Journalism Institute in Literary Reportage.
